In Gibsonville, North Carolina, we do business as Gibsonville Community Bank, because that is where we began. In April 2006, Atlanta Bancorporation, Inc. acquired Gibsonville Community Bank and the name was changed to Bank of Atlanta. Usually in mergers, the local bankers eventually move on and leave the new organization – but not in this case. We are pleased to serve Gibsonville with the majority of professional bankers that were on staff when the banks merged.
