In January 2005, Scotland Community Credit Union merged with Self-Help Credit Union, making it a division of Self-Help Credit Union. Scotland Community Credit Union was first chartered in 1964, as Scotland Credit Union, to serve the employees of what was then Scotland Mills (an early predecessor of today's WestPoint Home Inc.). Scotland Community Credit Union is located in Laurinburg, North Carolina and primarily serves Scotland County and the surrounding area.

Scotland Community Credit Union is member owned. Your Scotland Community Credit Union membership deposit makes you an owner/member of the credit union with the right to vote at the annual meeting of Self-Help Credit Union. Credit union membership gives you ownership.

At Scotland Community Credit Union we offer a wide range of competitive home loan options for first-time homebuyers and existing homeowners. Scotland Community Credit Union is open Monday through Thursday from 9am to 5pm, and 9am to 6pm on Friday. Drive-through hours are the same. SCCU is closed on weekends and most holidays.
